Update 7/10/19

7/10/2019

It has been a few weeks since I wrote a blog entry so I thought I'd write a quick one and bring everyone up to date.  Over the past month I have made great progress on my novel.  On average, I exceeded my word goal per day by about 60%.  I did more work in the last month than I did in the in the whole previous year combined.  I am already past my initial word goal for the project but am only a little over two-thirds of the way to a draft so I have revised my first draft word goal to 65k from 50k.  Last week, I began work on act three of the novel and hope to have a first draft completed by the first week of August.  Muse gods willing, of course.

While I don't have a title I can reveal yet (though I do have a couple of tentative ones kicking around) and will let everyone know when I have a working title.

I've had a lot of people ask me what the novel is about.  Though I am still honing my elevator pitch, the quick blurb reads like this:  Sarah Hall is a woman searching for a future as she struggles with school, her dysfunctional family, and the return of the one that got away.

As this is a work in progress all things are subject to change, but that is what I'm working with for now.

Work continues, more updates to follow.
